Lone Tree via Peralta Trail Guided Hike
Coming in 2026!
The Superstition Mountains are full of lore and mysteries. We invite you to explore one of its most iconic mysteries with us: the Lone Tree via our Peralta Trail guided hike.
The hike offers exceptional views of the Superstition Mountains and Weaver's Needle. We'll rest in a cave along the way before finishing the hike at a lone pine tree in the middle of the desert.
The tree, estimated to be over 100 years old, has perplexed experts for decades. No one's quite sure how it managed to not only grow, but also thrive, in the middle of a desert environment.
This is a moderate hike. The elevation gain is mostly gradual, although it does get fairly steep in a few spots.
You'll need to drive about 20-30 minutes down an unpaved (but largely smooth) road to reach the trailhead. You can meet us there or we can pick you up and drive down together.
