Note: This is one of the Valley's most dangerous and difficult hikes. Ensure you are in shape and sufficiently prepared.

The Superstition Ridgeline Trail is often regarded as the Valley's most epic hike. It traverses the iconic Superstition Mountains and offers monumental views that seem almost too good to be true.

Why Hire a Guide for the Superstition Ridgeline Trail?

The Superstition Ridgeline is also one of the most difficult trails to navigate in Arizona. There are many segments where the visible trail simply disappears. Trail blazes can only be found along the last segment - hiking down from the Flat Iron along the Siphon Draw Trail. And even those are scant.

And then there are the trailheads. The first is only accessible after driving several miles down an unpaved road. There are no signs marking it as the beginning of the Superstition Ridgeline Trail. Also, the ending trailhead is in a state park that requires paid parking. The trailheads are also a 40 minute drive away from each other.

Our guided Superstition Ridgeline Trail hike includes transportation between each trailhead. Our expert guides

Please note: This is a dangerous hike. These guidelines MUST be followed before booking:

  • DO NOT sign up for this hike if you are not accustomed to significant elevation changes that occur frequently.
  • Ensure you have decent upper and lower body strength. This hike includes scrambling.
  • You'll need enough endurance for an 11.1 mile hike that includes 4300 feet of cumulative elevation gain - and we'll be moving at a brisk pace with few breaks. Lost Dutchman State Park closes at sunset, allowing only 10 hours to complete the hike.
  • Bring more than enough food and water, but not so much that it weighs you down.
  • Rattlesnakes live in this area. We recommend bringing gaiters. We do sell gaiters at a cost of $10 per pair.
  • You maintain responsibility for your actions, health, and well-being.

Note: This is one of the American Southwest's most dangerous and difficult hikes. Cell reception is nearly nonexistent, and the only available form of rescue is a life flight. Make sure you are in excellent physical condition and prepared to hike a long, treacherous trail. We are responsible for guiding you; you are responsible for your health and well-being.
